Bimala BK
Bimala BK is a former member of the federal parliament and an ex-minister in the federal government. She is currently the Chairperson of Dalit Women Federation Nepal. She began campaigning against violence based on caste and gender after becoming affiliated with Dalit Mahila Utthan in Bardia. She served as its chairperson for 11 years. Bimala BK has worked as a social campaigner, a political organizer, and as an elected representative. She has started her PhD in International Relationship at Tribhuwan University after recently obtaining her
Master’s in Political Science. At JFP, Bimala is a faculty member and part of a working group on Caste, Class, and Gender. At JFP, Bimala serves as a faculty member and is part of a Working Group that is interrogating the interconnectedness of caste, class, and gender for research and policy considerations in Nepal and beyond.
